HELITANG T490 CHIP SPLITTING INSERTS

• T490 LNMT 0804PNR-CS – a HELITANG insert with four 8 mm cutting edges. The insert has 2 splitting grooves on one cutting edge and one groove on the opposite side.
• T490 LNMT 1306PNTR-CS – a HELITANG insert with four 12.5 mm cutting edges. The insert has 3 splitting grooves on one cutting edge and 2 grooves on the opposite side.
• T490 LNMT 1607PN-R-CS– a HELITANG insert with four 16 mm cutting edges. The larger insert has 4 splitting grooves on one side and 3 on the opposite side.

For optimal performance, it is recommended to mount the inserts in an alternating edge configuration on adjacent cutter flutes to achieve the most effective chip splitting effect.
Due to the above, chip splitting inserts should be used mainly on even-number flute cutters for best performance.
